L'infidélité - II

OMR, 5 minutes past midnight
Yogi called up Abinaya. There was no response from the other end. The call went in drain for the third time. He thought she might have reached home and had slept off because of a heavy hangover. Renuka was waiting in the office reception. “Shall we go? Am done with the work and sorry for keeping you waiting” He told her as he came down the stairs. He looked so tired. She thought it might be due to the work load or the alcohol. “Never mind. I was just going through few magazines. You look terribly tired” She expressed sympathy. That’s all right. Let’s get going” He replied. Yogi’s car started accelerating freely. They reached her home around 12:45. He parked her car just after the gate. It was pitch dark outside without the street lights.
“Thank you so much” She said. “Please don’t mention it” He smiled. She looked deeply into his eyes. She looked stunning on her party wear. He avoided her eye contact. She opened the door and hesitated for a while and turned and kissed him gently on his lips. He pulled off not knowing what to react. She withdrew her lips, looked down and said “I really am sorry. I don’t know how to thank you just with words. Please don’t take it to the heart”. Then she opened the door and when she was about to step her legs out, he pulled her in and closed the door. It was already drizzling outside
1:15 AM
He brushed her hair gently. She felt calm and relaxed lying on his chest. Yogi wished he owned a SUV at that moment. But he felt the Honda City’s driver seat did its job pretty well holding them both comfortably. “You are so good” She told him without lifting her head from his bare chest. “It’s really weird Renuka. Do you think we should have gone this far? We just met a couple of hours back and I never imagined I would be sharing my seat with a girl on top of me” He replied her. She blushed. “I don’t have any answers. It just happened” She replied. The gentle drizzles started to pour heavily. He switched on the wiper. The wiper blades rhymed so rhythmically in contrary to the silence inside and the windshield soon started to cover itself with the vapor. Slowly the nakedness inside the car started to disappear.

12:15AM
“Are you a professional dancer? I’ve never had such a nice dance partner my entire life. ” Abinaya extolled the way Vinay danced. “Pleasure” He said politely. They had a few cocktails in frequent intervals. Everyone in the dance floor admired the couple and the way their chemistry worked out. Abinaya had the greatest time of her life that night.
They came to the upper deck to have a drink and a chit chat. She took her mobile from the handbag. “Sh**” She said. “What happened? Anything wrong?” He asked her looking at her worried face. “My husband had called me thrice. I didn’t hear it in this noise” She said. I really got to rush up Vinay. Can you drop me home? She asked him still looking worried. “Sure let’s go” He said and both were out of the Hotel in a few minutes.
1:05AM
“Thanks a lot Vinay for the drive. You made my evening” She smiled and gave him a friendly hug. He just nodded. They exchanged their numbers and she took leave.

Yogi’s residence, 1:35AM
“Honey is everything all right?” Abinaya received Yogi. “Yeah sweetheart. Everything is fine” He smiled. “But you look so exhausted and sleepy. Let’s just hit the bed. We will talk everything in the morning” She said. “Yeah. Let’s catch up some sleep. Everything will be back to normal in the morning” He said. She nodded. “But honey you look so horrible too. Did you booze too much? How did you manage to reach home? Why you didn’t pick the call?” he asked her too many questions. “Sweetheart let’s talk in the morning” She kissed him good night
